MTP Workshop is this Thursday, March 23rd

The first interactive Yolo County MTP Workshop is this Thursday, March 23rd from 6-9pm at the West Capitol Galleria (1110 West Capitol Ave.).  This will be an exciting event and will give you the chance to shape the future transportation plan in the county and the region.  There is still space available, so bring a friend, neighbor, co-worker, whoever.  A light dinner will be served.

West Cap Ave. Development Meetings

The City has announced two workshops aimed at allowing public input into the plans for the development of West Capitol Avenue as a downtown area.  The first meeting focusing on visioning will be on 2/7/06 and the second focusing on alternatives evaluation will be on 4/10/06.  Both are at 7:00 p.m. at City Hall. 
 

Yarbrough Community Meeting

ASB Properties is hosting a community meeting at the Sacramento Yacht Club on 1/12/06 and 1/24/06, both at 6:30 p.m., where the guest speaker will be Steve Kellenburg, the original designer of the Southport Framework Plan.  The meeting will discuss ASB's Yarbrough project and the challenges that face West Sacramento and Southport.  To attend either of the meeting, RSVP at 375-1411.

 

S. River Rd. Bridge Scoping Meeting 10/13/05

The City will hold a public scoping meeting to seek the community's input on the scope of the environmental impact report relating to the widening of South River Road (from Business 80 to the barge canal, the construction of a bridge across the canal, and the extension of Village Parkway from the north end of Village Parkway to the crossing at the canal. The new four-lane crossing will carry vehicles, bicyclists and pedestrians across the canal and provide another north-south connection for Southport. The City will be evaluating alternative alignments of the proposed crossing and roadway. The meeting will be 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the City Hall on 10/13/05.

The Planning Commission will hear a presentation on the recently completed traffic analysis, which will impact Southport development.  The meeting starts at 6:00 p.m. at City Hall.

The Planning Commission will  hear a presentation of a summary of the public workshops conducted by the facilitator.
